The only app that forecasts and reports space weather is now available exclusively for Windows Phone.
MINNEAPOLIS – Available today, the app Space Weather is releasing a completely new experience for Windows Phone users with version 3.0. Space Weather is an application that reports current and forecasted space weather information on and around planet Earth.
Upon opening the app, users are presented with current space weather, space weather over the last 24 hours, and the space weather forecast. They also see a list of the last space weather alerts, charts and graphs of different space weather indices, and explore other mediums like RSS news feeds, images, and even movies! Thanks to the panorama swipe it is organized neatly in these categories. The app’s header always displays the current Kp index and has an alert ticker that lets them know the most recent alert. Space Weather app also includes a Live Tile feature and a dynamic lock screen!
Space Weather is now available for $.99 in the US and is priced accordingly in other regions. This introductory sale price will end September 11, 2013 where it will be priced at $1.99. The app is available world-wide on the Windows Phone Store. This is just in time for aurora season and the prediction of solar maximum (when the sun’s activity is at its peak)!
This update is free for existing customers for both Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8.
Space Weather app is developed by Timothy Stewart, an independent web and mobile developer who lives and works in Minneapolis.
